Sustainable Jersey is a nonprofit organization that provides tools, training and financial incentives to support communities as they pursue sustainability programs. By supporting community efforts to reduce waste, cut green house gas emissions, and improve environmental equity, Sustainable Jersey is empowering communities to build a better world for future generations.
The Estell Manor Team was established in August 2013 by the City Council.
The Estell Manor Green Team has been developed in conjunction with the statewide Sustainable Jersey (SJ) effort that was official launched in 2009. Estell Manor registered as a participant community with the SJ program in 2011 and applied for certification in June 2014.

Green Team Purpose Elements
The Estell Manor Green Team shall: 1.Serveas the advisory team to the City Council and the City of Estell Manor. 2.Focuson the successful completion of requirements for eligibility for Sustainable New Jersey certification. 3.Educatethe City of Estell Manor in sustainability and the importance of a sustainable lifestyle to the community. 4.Encouragethe City Council and the City of Estell Manor to participate in and propose green initiatives. 5.Collaboratewith other environmental organizations and committees, both public and private, to replicate and utilize the best practices. 6.Ensurethere is a coordinated effort within the City of Estell Manor and also between related communities. 7.Striveto provide the City of Estell Manor with continuous environmental improvement to ensure a high quality of life for residents of the City of Estell Manor.
